| Toy Description Even kids need an inspiring place to do their best work and this toddler-sized desk gives them their own space to color, read, play electronic games, or sort their baseball card collections. The beige desk's design is patterned after an antique writing desk with white drawers and a dark green granite-looking work surface so its style fits in with the décor in most homes. However, it is constructed entirely of plastic so parents won't be concerned if the desktop gets magic marker or glue on it. The desk has plenty of storage space: two small drawers on the desktop hold letters, pens, and desk supplies; three drawers alongside the desk hold paper, coloring books, stationary and other art supplies; a large cabinet on the right side holds larger supplies; and a pull-out bin on the lower left is ideal for containing blocks or loose action figures. The top of the desk has a working lamp and a real clock for monitoring when it's time to put desk work away. The desk comes with a matching chair and requires five AAA batteries to operate the clock and light. --Cristina Vaamonde |

This desk is great, but there is one fault. I have purchased this desk for my 6 year old twin daughters. I know we probally should have gone with the traditional wooden ones because they were in kindergarten, but because I also have a three year old this one seemed to go better with her desk. Less fights!!! Anyhow, the only complaint they have is that the clock doesn't work all the time and the light gets burned out too fast after replacing the battery too many times. Other than that they love it, and it doesn't look too babyish, so they won't outgrow this till they get more into the homework. It goes great with the house, since we have limited bedroom space, and have these two plus the other step 2 art master in our family room. It serves much more better then the art master. More storage and style. Hope this helps!!
nice first desk We bought this desk for our 3 year old daughter. She fits in it well and loves her 'big girl' desk. My wife assembled most of it- not hard at all to put together. The only thing we don't like is that the drawers are not attached, so if opened too far they come out completely- dumping the contents onto the floor! This is frustrating for a 3 year old. But she is learning to open the drawers slowly and carefully.
Love this desk! I got this desk for my 3 year old daughter for Christmas, and it was one of her favorite gifts. She loves having a special place for her crayons and other things. It's very durable, and the drawers are very easy for her to operate. The light is a great feature, and I especially found the design to have a lot of eye appeal. Nice to see some furniture for young children that isn't all in primary colors. |
