Frustrated Texas Mommy
I bought this product because of the reviews it received. I wish I never bought it! I bought it for my three-year's birthday party. Most of the reviews said it is better than battery cars for toddlers, I would prefer a battery car, it is less trouble just to buy batteries and put them in. My daughter got on it, and put her feet on the floor and walked really fast and put her feet up to see if would go (per instructions on one of the reviews)but nothing happened. She DOES NOT ride it at all, she pushes it, so instead of two strollers in the house, I have three! This car does not go on its own, I still do not understand how people said it goes when you turn the steering wheel, our twist car has indefinitely run out of gas! Plus, no instructions came with it on how to work it, just the manual on how to put it together! Plus I cannot return it to Toys R Us, I bought this online from Toys R Us, now I have to return it through the mailing system, this is not worth the hassle.
Great gift
My nephew loved this toy I gave him for his birthday. He just turned 2. This toy looks great and even comes with decals to personalize it. He does have some trouble figuring out how to steer it, he keeps trying to use his feet.
Ride-on with a twist! Fun for ALL AGES!!!
Fun for the WHOLE family!! This is the best ride-on toy and it also helps your childs motor skills as well. It's a little different because you don't use you feet to push it. Simply put your feet up, lean forward and turn the steering wheel from side to side to make it go. Once you get it moving you can turn the wheel halfway around and do doughnuts!!! So much FUN!!! If you use it outdoors it works best on a smoother surface like a bike trail or a parking lot. We mostly use ours indoors because we have hardwood floors. It has not scratched or damage them at all either! I originally bought this when it first came out 4 years ago. At that time my oldest son was 3 years old (now 7yrs). He loved it then and still loves it now. We now have 2 yr old twin boys and they love it too. My husband and I also enjoy riding this and I am not a little person! I am 5' 8" tall and at the time I purchased it I was 200+ lbs and I had a blast riding this car even back then, and still enjoy it now! For those who are concerned about assembly, I had no problems at all! If you ever have problems assembling anything, here is a little tip my father taught me years ago: First, lay everything out in front of you. Second: look at the directions and make sure you have everything needed and check for damage. If you don't have everything, STOP, pack it back up, return it and get a new one! If you DO have everything... you're ready to sit back and take a good look at what you have. Now, before putting anything together, read through the directions THINK IT THROUGH and use a little common sence. You are now ready and you will do just fine!!! If you ever get confused, don't get angry, there are usually phone numbers on directions and/or manuals call when your stuck on something and ask them to walk you through it! Enjoy!!!
