cube
I've come in contact with many cubes and in my experiences this is by far the smoothest "natural cube" (not treated with any lubricant). This cube is great for novices and experts alike, as i started a novice but due to the excellent quality of the cube was able to get my solving time down to roughly a minute within a month. The only gripe i have with it is that in less than a month of use some of the stickers had peeled off and the others were peeling. This shouldnt be a deterant from buying this cube as i've seen this problem with other cubes and the problem can be easily remedied by purchasing replacement stickers for a little over a dollar, which is hardly a reason not to purchase this cube.
stickers and spring tension
Add some lubricant and it makes a great cube, pity stickers come off after a couple of days of speedcubing. Best to just remove the stickers and paint the faces. Works great if you're lucky and get one with equal spring tension on all 6 faces.
They get poorer and poorer in quality.
This is not so great for an enthusiast, like myself. A DIY cube would be better. Or a vintage cube or just a non-anniversary edition Rubik's Cube. Not too bad though. I've been fiddling with 2 of these for the past 7 months. First one was purchased 2-3 years ago.. got too loose. Second one, anniversary edition.. starting to get too loose after about 4 months of INTENSE cubing. When I say INTENSE, I mean 2-8 turns per second. For 1-5 hours a day. Hm, I must've solved it at least 10,000 times.. I have no live -_- And replacing stickers can be a bit of a pain.. peeling and dealing with the leftover adhesive.. you might eventually have to do that.. you will if you're an enthusiast. The stickers are very cheap.. the transparent film starts to come off after a few weeks or months.. Eventually the colors rub off and the stickers themselves start peeling.
